  • A new weekly rain target card

    The card shows the rain that fell and the rain that will fall, both against your goal. A status shows Behind, Rain coming, or Goal met.

  • A new rain view

    The rain view shows each time window on its own card: 24 hours, 72 hours, 7 days, 30 days, this month, and this year. The chart below the cards shows how the total compares to the average.

  • Watering advice

    A new card gives advice for your garden: Consider Watering, Hold Off Watering, or No Watering Needed. The advice uses your goal, the past 7 days, and the next 3 days.

  • Upcoming rain

    A new card at the end of the rain view shows the rain for the next 3 days. Each day gives its amount and its highest chance of rain.

  • NWS reports from backup offices

    A report reads correctly when a backup office issues it.

  • The rainfall average column

    The average column in the rain view now shows its values.

  • Rain amount and the next rain time

    The hourly rows now show how much rain to expect when the measurement is Chance of Rain. The header shows when rain starts next.

  • The rain Live Activity starts by itself

    A Live Activity for rain now starts on its own when rain is near. You see the updates on the Lock Screen without a tap.

  • The August 12 solar eclipse

    See the eclipse as it looks from where you are, with the true coverage and the true angle. Tap Sun/Moon data tile > Solar eclipse tomorrow > Tap sun to view visualization

  • Long press to toggle rain chance

    Press and hold a day row or an hour row to change between Temperature and Chance of Rain. Customize in Settings > Customize > Buttons > Long Press Toggle

  • The National Weather Service data tile

    A new tile shows the local NWS station reports in one place. Tap the storm outlook map to make it larger.

  • A new Now + Hourly widget

    A new medium widget shows the conditions now beside the next few hours.

  • Move your data cards

    Press and hold a data card, then drag it to a new position. Works directly on the main forecast view.

  • Feels Like on a widget

    Each widget can show the Feels Like temperature in place of the air temperature. Open the widget settings to change it.

  • One Astronomy card

    The Sun card and the Moon card are now one card. The sky chart marks sunrise and sunset. A new band chart shows the whole moon cycle.

  • Alerts when a report changes (Ultra)

    Receive push notifications when the National Weather Service updates the Area Forecast, Discussion, or Storm Outlook. Customize in Settings > Notifications > NWS report updates

  • Rain on each hour row

    Each hour row shows a strip of the rain for that hour. Touch the strip to read the values. Rain detail opens on the 72-hour view.

  • A free look at the radar

    Free users now get a full map and radar preview.

  • Clearer drought status and data tiles

    The drought card explains how the app finds the status. The soil moisture ladder shows the current step, and the alerts settings group by plan.

  • Chat with Developer

    Help & Support is now “Chat with Developer”, at the top of Settings. The Mac status item shows a dot when there is a reply.

  • Notification taps open the correct screen

    A tap on a notification did not always open the right screen. It now does, and a severe weather alert opens its own page.

    Set a weekly rain goal for any saved location and track it on a single bar: rain that has already fallen, plus what is expected over the next 3 days. Available with Ultra.
